Characteristics

YDN515 is a methylated urea-formaldehyde resin that can be used as a crosslinking agent for polymers with hydroxyl functional group in water-borne or organic solvents.

YDN515 does not require a solvent and can cure quickly at low temperatures. It has good compatibility, excellent stability, and low cost.

The rapid-curing YDN515 resin/alcohol-acid resin baking paint does not require an acid catalyst, and the curing speed of its colored paint is almost twice as fast as that of traditional butylated urea-formaldehyde resin, even when it is not dried or dried for a short time. YDN515 is compatible with most resins, including alcohol-acid, polyester, acrylic, and epoxy types.

Compatibility

YDN515 compatibility test: There is a standard solvent for each resin crosslinking agent used in a 40% non-volatile content transparent solid system with a ratio of 75/25.

Aliphatic hydrocarbons are allowed to be used in the system with YDN515 resin, as long as there is a sufficient amount of oxidative solvent to maintain the resin in a solution state. Suitable solvents or solvents mixed with YDN515 resin should be evaluated for compatibility with the main polymer/YDN515 resin mixture.
