Melamie Foam introduction

Melamine foam is a thermosetting polymer by foaming the melamine formaldehyde resin in a unique technical process with three-dimensional network structure.

Unlike the other material of foam plastics, such as polyolefin, polyurethane, etc. ,melamine shows its perfect self-extinguish performance without adding any flame retardant when meets a big fire. Nitrogen and carbon dioxide are released when the surface layer is slightly burned, these gas stop the flame and does not produce any toxic smoke.
Melamine foam keep its stability at a wide range of temperature,between minus 200 and 200 degree.It provides good thermal insulation as the thermal conductivity is less than 0.033W/(m.K),so it can keep the heat or energy well and reduce the loss of energy.
Melamine foam open-cell structure make its sound absorption excellent.
The sound waves are not reflected but absorbed by the cell of melamine foam. The sound energy is reduced in the cell structure. Low frequencies, improved sound absorption can be achieved, for example by adding layers of a heavier material.
